Entertainment at the Fair
Since the first fair was held at South County Park in 2004, the Main Stage has always offered a wide variety of free entertainment, all suitable for the whole family,
Dan Torrone, a former Hunterdon 4-H member who is now the professional entertainer “Doctor D” based in Clinton, arranges all the performances and serves as stage master of ceremonies.
The line-up varies each year, generally featuring country bands, light rock music, bluegrass groups, band tribute acts, magic shows, performers from local dance schools, singers, tap dancers, cloggers, and the like. There have been entertainers from Mexico, Hawaiian singers and dancers, circus acts, a female trio performing songs from the 1940s, even wild animal presentations. And 4-H members take the stage at various times to demonstrate their projects and talk about their activities.
